It’s a new year, and while we’re excited to talk about what’s next for CASW, we also want to spend some time celebrating those who’ve been with us every step of the way. One thing that our agency is really proud of is that so many of our colleagues got their start with us while figuring out their path and, in many ways, CASW has inspired them in their next steps. In this edition of “CASW Profiles,” meet Jacqueline Izquierdo, the program assistant at Bronx River Cornerstone.
How did you get your start at CASW? In what ways has the agency changed since you started and, furthermore, in what ways have you changed?
“I began my journey with CASW eleven years ago as an Assistant Group Leader. I have grown both professionally and personally. Over the years, I have developed stronger relationships with parents, staff, and the kids. Being in this agency made me think about what I wanted to do professionally, so I started college for my degree in Human Resources.”
Where would you personally like to see the organization go in the future?
“I would love to see the Children’s Arts & Science Workshops continue to grow in ways that deepen their impact while staying true to their core mission. Expanding access to programs for all communities.”
What is your most impactful memory at CASW?
“My most impactful memory at CASW is all the friendships, bonds, and even the relationships I have created with staff, the kids, and even the parents.”
