Each year, the month of June becomes an eventful countdown for the summer months – as we gear up for two of our busiest programs, SYEP and Summer Camp, the agency is abuzz as we run through checklists and welcome our newest colleagues. This past week, our Boone Ave office hosted the SYEP Job Placement Event; an activity where our participants have the chance to meet with our colleagues and partners as they select their summer jobs.

On an interpersonal level, it’s an event that we always look forward to. As many of our colleagues will tell you, it’s an opportunity to meet participants face to face and get to know them on an individual level. For many participants, it’s a chance to ask questions and put faces to names before they start their very first work experience.Our CASW-Media Team was even able to sit down with a few of them and get the scoop on their likes, dislikes, and hopes for the summer.
