It’s always a good time whenever our CASW-Cornerstone programs hold a community event; as anyone who’s ever attended will tell you, it’s common to leave with our hearts (and bellies) full! Last week, Bronx River Community Center partnered up with FoodBank4NYC to hold an event where residents received bags full of nutritious foods and ingredients. Not only was this a great opportunity to stock up your pantry, but it was a chance for the community and our partners to come together in a way that makes a BIG difference.
Special Guests Bring Star Power and Heart
This was an exciting event, filled with food, fun, and special appearances. Those who attended had the chance to meet The Breakfast Club’s Charlemagne Tha God and Loren Larosa, as well as DJ Nyla Symone. Thanks to the generosity and warmth of these personalities, the entire community center was filled with an optimistic, almost magnetic energy.

Moments That Matter: Smiles, Music, and Memories
We’re always looking forward to events like these because, in our opinion, they are the life blood of the communities we serve. When we get together as a neighborhood, we get the unique chance to connect one-on-one and build stronger bonds; after all, these are the bonds that make Bronx River the community that it is.
