It’s National Non-profit Day, and CASW is announcing a campaign to promote our 58 years of work serving NYC Youth. Since 1968, we’ve served neighborhoods all over the Bronx and Manhattan, getting to know our neighbors and watching generations of students grow into leaders. If you’re interested in donating to our organization, here are 10 things that might be important to YOU:

- You want NYC kids to have access to educational and recreational programming after school and during the summer – so they have a safe space to learn, grow, and express themselves!
- Education is important to you, and you know it’s key to making the next generation of leaders.
- You’re a Bronx/Manhattan native, and you want to give back to your community. You know that our neighborhoods thrive when our kids learn and succeed!
- You believe in hands-on learning and want to give young people across the city life-changing experiences. One field trip or project can be the first step toward a bright future!

5. As a person starting in your career, you knew that early work experience was very important, and you now want to pay it forward to programs like SYEP and LFL.
- Whether it’s science or the arts, you want to provide free, accessible enrichment opportunities to kids in YOUR neighborhood.
- Programs like ours often act as a lifeline to working NYC Parents. As a parent, you know how important it is that your kids are safe, entertained, and learning after school – so you want to contribute to free programs catering to K-8th grade. Programs like ours often act as a lifeline to working NYC Parents.
- You know all about the “summer slide” and want kids to stay up to date from June to August- that way, when September rolls around, they’re ready to roll!!!

9. You know that investing in our youth today can secure our communities tomorrow. The elementary schooler enjoying the after-school program you helped fund might become the SYEP participant helping your kid tomorrow – and even further down the line, they can become a teacher, leader, or role model for countless other kids!
10. You love NYC, and if you believe in the promise of this city, then you know a large part of it means investing in its young people.
