Summer is off to a great start at Bronx River, and with our Summer Skate Jam series – the best is yet to come! This summer, we’re bringing neighbors together to celebrate the creativity, culture, and connections that make our community special. As part of our From Roots to Arts residency, the Bronx River Summer Jam Series transforms familiar spaces into places for art, movement, music, and shared experiences. It’s a chance for kids and families to unwind, have fun, and connect with the wider community in a unique way!
Inside the First Bronx River Skate Jam Event
In partnership with the Public Housing Community Fund and Skate Info Network, our first Skate Jam event was held earlier this month at the Bronx River Community Center gymnasium, which was transformed into a skate rink! Attendees of all skill levels had the chance to showcase their abilities and maybe learn a few new things. Aside from skating, attendees were able to play games, create, and even enjoy some refreshments!
