At CASW, we understand that families trust us to provide a safe environment where their child can thrive and even make connections along the way. As a non-profit that provides programs targeting youth between the ages of 5-24, we like to think of ourselves as experts on shifting that environment, based on the developmental needs and growth of the young person in question. Like our name suggests, we are an NYC-based non-profit organization that focuses on arts and science curriculums for various grade levels. Our programs abide by a hands-on approach that encourages students to become participants in the learning process. By putting this model on the forefront, we help them develop in the following areas:
- Our after school and summertime programs provide a variety of arts, STEM, and sports activities that allow students to explore diverse interests and discover passion of which they previously would’ve been unaware.

That’s why we think that every young person, regardless of skill or background, should be given the opportunity to make their perspective heard. We also believe that a well-rounded education also consists of cultural exposure.
CASW STEM PROGRAMS
Likewise, we think it’s equally important to foster curiosity and exploration through the scientific method. This is why CASW takes pride in our hands-on STEM curriculums for varying grade levels; from robotics, to coding, to even environmental science, we know that we’re helping to teach future generations of scientists, engineers, and thinkers. Even beyond fostering an interest in science, we’re also teaching kids to become methodical, problem solvers. The skills they learn through these activities will teach them to question the world around them, and ask big questions about the issues facing society.
