We are beyond impressed with our junior horticulturalists at PS 115!!! The gardening program at COMPASS-PS 115 has been one of our most exciting developments within the past year, and the winter months have done little to slow our participants down – as these young gardeners are learning the basics of hydroponics!
Essentially, hydroponics refers to the practice of growing plants in nutrient-rich solution rather than soil – making it easier to grow plants indoors. This winter, participants have explored various methods and systems within this practice, and have already begun to see their efforts sprout!!!
